Congress just can not seem to understand why these people are showing up to their town hall meetings and are all fired up.  They are trying to pass us off as the “angry mob”, “insurance industry activists”, and even “Nazi’s”.  We are being disruptive, disorderly, and un-American, and are trying to derail the democratic process.  Nothing could be farther from the truth.

            The reason we are angry is because we are informed and have read the bill that evidently (by the way they respond to our questions… or not) they refuse to read themselves.  Every point we make in reference to the House bill, they are either not informed enough about the legislation they are pushing, or are outright lying to the electorate.  Remember, we are their employer and employers do not take kindly to being lied to.  We will fire you.

            There is also a secondary reason we are angry and showing up in force.  Some in Congress have said at these meetings that we have not tried to contact them to discuss this issue.  Not only is this another lie, we know from past experience that contacting them does no good.  When they started on the stimulus bill, we called, emailed, and sent letters saying we do not want this… They passed it anyway.  When the pork laden budget was being discussed, we called, emailed, and sent letters saying we do not want this… They passed it anyway.  When Cap and Trade was introduced, we called, emailed, and sent letters saying we are informed, we know the harm this is going to cause our economy, and we do not want this… They passed it anyway.  We are tired of being ignored, accused of being uninformed, and being told (like a child) that they know better than us.
